“Images have always nourished my imagination, they are an instant source of melodic inspiration to me."
From a young age, Gabriel Issartel has been passionate about cinema and music. Grand-son of designer and perfumer Marcel Rochas, Gabriel grew up in the artistic world of his parents, where Jacques Prévert, Rudolf Noureev, Arthur Rubinstein and Serge Gainsbourg regularly crossed paths.
Self-educated at his debut, he navigated towards musical studies with private teachers before entering the conservatory. His harmonic and melodic writing resembles a character, with its silences, moods, and range of emotions...
After three years in Canada, he will now be working alongside a team. He is currently composing themes that will be recorded by a philharmonic orchestra for film.
